Congratulations Natasha Huang! Encore’s Own NYC Marathoner
New York City started November off with a bang this past Sunday as over 40,000 people participated in the New York City Marathon. Over two million onlookers lined up to watch the marathon take place and witness what the human body and spirit can do. Out of the thousands of runners, we are especially proud of our Marketing Manager, Natasha Huang, who not only ran the race but finished it as well!

“The hardest part of the race was mile 18 when I contemplated giving up because of the physical pain and exhaustion. But knowing I would be giving up would be the biggest failure ever, “said Huang who has participated in other marathons including the Nike Woman’s Marathon in San Francisco. I asked Natasha what it felt like to cross the finish line, and here is what she had to say:
“Crossing over the finish line is an indescribable feeling. About a mile away you can see the finish line and hear people screaming your name. That is the best part in feeling the support of hundreds of people who don’t know you. All of a sudden your legs just pick up and hurry and you don’t feel pain anymore.”
She also noted that all she thought about was the burger with bacon and cheese that she was going to scarf down after crossing over the finish. A burger well deserved, I’d say!
Once again, CONGRATULATIONS to Natasha and all of the people who traveled near and far to participate in the NYC Marathon. Your hard work and dedication is an inspiration to many.
